Catastrophic flooding occurring in Houston as Harvey lingers

There is not much to say other than when this is over we need to pull together to help our fellow Americans in Texas. This flood event is unfolding exactly as forecast which is  unfortunate because it means that lives will be changed forever.

I am in Houston where I have placed one of our specially designed unmanned cameras to monitor the situation if even on a small scale.

The camera is located close to the 610 where Braeswood crosses underneath. This also right along Brays Bayou  which is notorious for flooding.

The camera should run for the rest of today unless the floodwater over takes it in which case it will eventually shut off.

I hope to be able to place another camera somewhere in the area but it is getting to be very dangerous to venture out.

I will post another update here this  afternoon and I will include a video discussion covering a variety of topics including the possibility of storm development of the southeast coast.
