The meanings of the colors used on the maps are as follows: The BLUE coloring represents areas predicted to flood during category 1 and 2 hurricanes. The YELLOW coloring represents areas predicted to flood during a category 3 hurricane. These areas are in addition to the areas flooded during a category 1 and 2 hurricane (BLUE coloring). The RED coloring represents areas that are predicted to flood during a category 4 or 5 hurricane. These areas are in addition to the areas flooded in a category 1,2 and 3 hurricane (BLUE and YELLOW).
