Hurricane Matthew poses landfall risk to Jamaica and Cuba before getting in to southwest Atlantic

Matthew is now a category three hurricane and could get stronger still in the coming days. While a lot of interest is there from people along the Southeast coast of the U.S. I want to focus on the more immediate threat to the islands of the Caribbean. Specifically, we are most concerned with Jamaica and Cuba. Haiti is also at risk as well but the models trending west lately may be a good sign for that region – we will have to see if this continues.
